Bella's
Story

CFA's Twenty First Best Cat
in Championship 2006-2007, GC, NW Divinity’s Let Me Love You is dilute
calico Persian female. "Bella" was bred by Donna Dzienisiewski-Susan Burton
and is owned by Donna Dzienisiewski. She is also the North Atlantic Region's
Fourth Best Cat in Championship this season and Best Calico/Bicolor as well.
Bella was born in June 2005. She was born in a litter of three which included her sister “Lola” a dilute calico and brother “Devil” a red and white van. Things were very touch and go with this litter from the beginning. It was an outcross breeding and I was not ready for the surprises that came along with it. I am grateful to this day that these kittens survived and that this wonderful trio inherited their mother GC, RW Divinity’s Sugar Kiss wonderful personality and expression.
As the weeks went by all of the kittens were looking very nice. At this time “Bella” was actually my second pick of the litter as I preferred her sister’s expression.
One of Bella's first shows as a
kitten was the Rheinberg Germany show in January of 2006. Bella was entered
and shown only because I had flown to this show with my friend to keep her
company while she showed her boy for a NW. I didn’t want to be bored the
whole weekend. And to my surprise I wasn’t. Bella was one of highest scoring
kittens at this very competitive show. Very exciting!
At 8 months old “Bella” became a Grand Champion as did her sister “Lola” GC
Divinity’s Who Loves Ya Baby and brother “Devil” GC Divinity’s Im Lovin It!
Now I had to choose who to show. I still loved Lola’s expression. But
overall “Bella” had the body, boning, a very adorable expression and huge
coat that dragged on the floor. She was looking like a little star to me and
she loved the shows. So she was the chosen show cat for the season.
We had a great time traveling all over the country. And lots of fun, especially when Bella got to share a room with her Ocicat buddies. She loved them even though they weren’t sure what to make of this tri colored fluff ball running around. She also loved playing footsie with her blue Aby boyfriend “Maverick” who always seemed to be in the cage next to her in the finals.
The season was long and had my usual scheduling conflicts with work. It seemed like an impossibility at times to keep going every weekend. But some how as always I found a way to do it. We hung in there through good times and bad. Bad being when after a bath and cage drying Bella came out and had a gigantic matt on her back. To this day I don’t know how it appeared there from the dryer. I had come to terms that might have to shave her right then and there. How depressing that was! Amazingly though she had enough hair to spare and I fixed it.

All in all this year there were some very nice quality cats and some pretty
nice owners too. Congratulations to everyone.
